PRESIDENT FARFALLA BORAH
Ms. Borah is an attorney and worked as an administrator for the University of California Santa Barbara for over 35 years. A ratepayer and homeowner, she has lived in the Goleta Water District service territory for 16 years. Ms. Borah has a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Santa Barbara and a Juris Doctorate from Santa Barbara College of Law.

- Appointed to the Board of Directors in 2018. Elected to the Board of Directors in 2020. Current term expires in 2024.
- Member, Administration Committee.
- Representative for the District to the Central Coast Water Authority (CCWA).
- Alternate Representative for the District to the Goleta Sanitary District (GSD).

VICE PRESIDENT LAUREN HANSON
A long-time Goleta Valley resident, Ms. Hanson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

- Elected to the Board of Directors in 2008, she served previously as President for two years. In her first year on the board, she served as Vice-President of the Board and Chair of the UCSB Relations Committee. Reelected in 2012, 2016, and 2020. Current term expires in 2024.
- Chair, Water Management and Long-Range Planning Committee.
- Alternate, Administration Committee.
- Represents the District as a Director at meetings of the Cachuma Operation & Maintenance Board (COMB) and the Cachuma Conservation Release Board (CCRB).
Community Involvement
- Member of the Goleta Vision Committee and co-author of its report, A Comprehensive Vision for the Eastern Goleta Valley (2006).

DIRECTOR BILL ROSEN
Mr. Rosen moved to Goleta in 2003 and is a ratepayer of the Goleta Water District. Mr. Rosen is a retired New York attorney experienced in municipal government, having served as County Attorney and as counsel to municipal governments. In addition, Mr. Rosen served as Counsel to the Upper Delaware Council, one of the first cooperative river management programs conducted by the National Park Service and local governments.

DIRECTOR KATHLEEN WERNER
A retired water chemist, with a degree in chemistry from UCSB, Director Werner has worked in the water field for over 25 years. She has experience in regulatory and water quality issues and local governance. Kathleen raised her two children in Goleta and has been an active member of the community.
